I was out taking pictures today and found a very similar little branch reaching out from behind a fence... I'm not sure why exactly, something about it looking so desperate–so hopeful, but it had me rummaging through a bag for an appropriate camera. I hope the picture turns out :)
This is a lovely picture.
(As a side note... After almost two years of using toy cameras, it amazes me, astounds me, that my first experience/problem with light leaks comes from Hasselblad backs... that is the definition of irony :)
Ha, ha! Yes that IS definitely an irony :) I also had minor light leaks with my Hasselblad at first , but then I got a "new" back so now it´s ok. I ´m going to fix the first back when I have the time, it´s so good to have several of them I think. One of the advantages with that camera I suppose.
You know we have so much snow here in Gothenburg now. Today they said on the radio that we haven´t had so much snow in this city for over 100 years. Well I love it ( it´s like living in NARNIA sometimes) and it´s quite nice to take fotographs of the changed landscape. But now something inside me is reaching out for spring, just like that plant from this past summer...
Yes, I have obtained kits and replaced the light trap seals in two backs, but one of them has sprung a new leak which doesn't seem to be coming from the light trap... Perhaps I messed up the development, or perhaps there is a problem with the auxiliary shutter (my suspicion), but it is a silly thing... I unscrewed everything and reset the light trap seal and fiddled with the back shutter (which was sticking a bit) and hopefully this next roll will be back on track :)
The weather here in Seattle has been the exact opposite: We are experiencing bright, beautiful, warm days which is rare even during Summer.... Made even stranger considering that last year we had so much snow the city was forced to shut down for a week (a very bizarre happening). These weather patterns are so strange, though their oddness is providing us with a break from routine which can be a very exciting thing :)
